Join us this October 18-20, 2019 for the annual Breckenridge Craft Spirits Festival featuring small-batch distillers, artisan spirit seminars, a spirited cooking class, scavenger hunt, fine local cuisine and of course, plenty of sampling. Meet the distillers and taste the creations of 40 distillers Saturday night at the main event, the Still on the Hill Grand Tasting!

Friday, October 18th

10:00AM + 1:00PM – WALK THROUGH HISTORY TOUR

History lovers get their fill of Breckenridge heritage on a guided tour of our nationally recognized Historic District. $15 Adults, $5/child (4-12), 3 and under free. Tour meets at 10:00AM and 1:00PM at the Breckenridge Welcome Center, 203 South Main. No reservations required.

11:00AM – 3:00PM – BRECKENRIDGE DISTILLERY OPEN HOUSE AND 3-COURSE DINNERS

Open House: Bring your Grand Tasting ticket for a free punch. $5 craft punch without a ticket. Get a free hand-crafted cocktail with the purchase of a bottle in retail, valid for one cocktail per bottle purchase (must show receipt). Take the Distillery’s shuttle or the Yellow route of the Breckenridge Free Ride bus system.

3- Course Dinner: Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 3 courses for $45. Show your Grand Tasting receipt for a free craft punch. Reservations required. Limited seats available.

5:00PM – BEHIND SWINGING DOORS HISTORIC SALOON TOUR

This walking tour highlights the historic brewing, distilling and saloon features of Breckenridge’s mining heritage, hosted by the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance, departs the Breckenridge Welcome Center in the Blue River Plaza at 5 pm. Must be 21 or older. $20 Reservations by 3:00PM on Friday.

SCAVENGER HUNT & CRAFT COCKTAILS AROUND TOWN

Featuring the saloons, restaurants and taverns of Breckenridge, contestants will depart on self-guided tours of the various establishments. Contestants will seek out answers to scavenger hunt questions and take selfies in certain locations. Scavenger lists and craft cocktails available at participating bars. Post your scavenger pics to #ISpyStillontheHill2019. Sample Breck bartenders’ creativity, featuring a cocktail throwdown among local mixoligists, utilizing craft spirits as their base. No need to sign up for either of these elements.

Breckenridge Backstage Theatre is the resident theatre company of the beautiful Breckenridge Theater, a newly renovated 137-seat theater located in the heart of historic downtown Breckenridge. 4:00PM – 7:00PM – STILL ON THE HILL GRAND TASTING

The premier craft spirits tasting in Colorado- it is just a blast! 40 of the finest distillers share their talents. Fun times, artisan snacks and the finest spirits! Bluegrass music by the Tejon Street Corner Thieves keeps you groovin’. People’s choice voting for distillers- get your vote in by 6:30PM. You must be 21 years old to enter. Tickets are $45 in advance and $55 day of, if not sold out. Proceeds benefit the Community Partners of the Breckenridge Restaurant Association.

Parking:  Park at the Riverwalk Center/Tiger Dredge lot. Free transportation available around town and through lodging companies. Don’t drink and drive.

Who doesn’t love tiki-themed cocktails? You might even end up doing a hula dance! Join RNDC Spirit Specialist Ken Kodys as we dive deep into the craft and culture of Tiki. This class will cover several styles of Tiki drinks and how to make them along with information regarding the history, culture and current resurgence of the modern Tiki movement.

Barney Ford Victorian Home

Civil rights history comes alive in the home of Barney L. Ford, an escaped slave who went on to become a prospector, entrepreneur, and activist for African-American rights. This restored 1882 Victorian home offers a glimpse into the 19th century lives of a well-heeled Breckenridge family.

Edwin Carter Discovery Center

Explore local wildlife in Breckenridge’s own museum of natural history, home to the taxidermy specimens of Professor Edwin Carter, a 19th century miner-turned-environmentalist. A family favorite, the center features interactive exhibits including a hands-on taxidermy workbench, theater, and children’s room

Summit Ski Exhibit

People were skiing in Breckenridge from the start. See historic photos and equipment from the early days of Summit County skiing and learn about the 10th Mountain Division, a military unit that fought on skis in World War II. Explore the evolution of the Breckenridge ski resort, which opened with Peak 8 in 1961.
