Historic Tours

In 1859, settlers traveling west in search of riches founded Breckenridge; when the first traces of gold was found, the town boomed. Today, the town and surrounding areas are studded with historical remains that tell the story of Breckenridge before it was a world-famous ski town.

Historic tours include guided strolls around Breckenridge’s nationally recognized Historic District as well as exploring historic—and sometimes haunted—historic  buildings. Tours paint a picture of the people that lived and worked in Breckenridge more than a hundred years ago. Take a journey back in time to Breckenridge’s beginnings and meet the characters that made Breck what it is today.
