We’ll  work our way downtown from the North end of Main Street to the South end. Behold the Breckenridge Ultimate Pub Crawl. But, pace yourself. It’ll take 11 nights to hit up our recommendations for the best 11 bars in Breckenridge. Get ready, be safe, know your limits and if need be, know how to go car-free in Breckenridge.

Night 1. Bar 1.

The Gold Pan Saloon / 103 North Main Street

Known for having the oldest liquor license west of the Mississippi, The Gold Pan Saloon has a long and colorful history one can only imagine as you step through the swinging doors. Today, locals and visitors alike come to the Gold Pan for the camaraderie, to tell a few ski stories, listen to music, fill their bellies and enjoy libations.  “The Pan” as it’s called by locals, is the perfect spot to have a drink and enjoy a piece of Breckenridge’s history. Bellying up to the beautiful mahogany Brunswick bar is a true Breckenridge tradition.

Napper Tandy’s / 110 Lincoln Avenue

Located above the Salt Creek Restaurant, Napper Tandy’s is Breckenridge’s authentic Irish pub. If you’re a gamer, this is the place. Napper Tandy’s offers pool tables, foosball, darts, and of course plenty of TV’s to watch your favorite sporting events. And the bartenders don’t lack in their pouring skills. If you happen to be here when the Six Million Dollar Band is in town make sure to bring your 80’s gear and have a most tubular time. This bar boasts one of Breckenridge’s best dance spaces, with live bands and DJs on the weekends.

The Motherloaded Tavern / 103 South Main Street

With two bars, the Kitty and the infamous Julius Ceasar lounge, The Motherloaded Tavern is sure to wet your whistle. Known for its house infused liquor selection, the MLT, will not let you down with handcrafted cocktails, and a large selection of beers on tap.  There’s always something going on at The Motherloaded Tavern with live music every Friday and Saturday night, open mic on Mondays, trivia on Tuesdays, and lost of other events throughout the week.

If you’re looking for a place with a vibrant contemporary atmosphere, that has an extensive wine selection and some really crafty cocktails, look no further. At Modis you can expect to find menus  showcasing the best in food, wine, & cocktails, incorporating the newest & most innovative preparations. They actually call the bar & kitchen the science labs! Serving up delicious libations dating back as far as the 1800’s, Modis’s mixologists have really done their research. With fun names such as the Papa Doble, Whose Got The Thyme, and the bourbon winning Moose Knuckle Punch you are sure to find something to make your taste buds celebrate. Après Handcrafted Libations  / 130 South Main Street

Après Handcrafted Libations is a craft tasting room that brings the best in craft libations to Summit County.  The  award-winning handcrafted cocktails are made from scratch using the finest craft spirits, house-made syrups, hand squeezed (…mostly) juices and of course their very own Après Handcrafted Bitters. If you’re looking for a craft beer in Breckenridge you won’t want to miss one of the hottest tap lists in town, with 28 rotating beers and 40+ rotating craft bottled/canned beers. Après is unique to Breckenridge in that they allow you to order food from any of your favorite Breckenridge locations just like you would in your own home. Located downstairs from Kenosha Steakhouse, everyday is a beach party  in the basement of Rita’s! It doesn’t matter if you just got finished with a three mile hike, a serious downhill bike ride or the best powder run of your life, Rita’s is the place to come when you want finish off a hard day of play! The tacos & chips & dip receive just as much attention as the freshly squeezed margaritas, with Rita’s own “Breck-Style” recipes prepared daily. Your sure to find that little bit of sunshine even when the snow is flying down at Rita’s.

Blue Stag Saloon / 323South Main Street

While not wholly new to Breckenridge, the Blue Stag Saloon’s remodel of the Whale’s Tail has rapidly become a local favorite and considered one of Breckenridge’s best dining and late night experiences. This boutique bar is certainly one of the coziest ambiances in town. Recycled beatle kill wood ceilings and barn wood walls make for the perfect mountain atmosphere. The drink menu offers over 40 rotating craft bottle beers, 8 rotating taps, a wide variety of whiskeys, and a selection of vine products that can accommodate any palate. And with two fireplaces to choose from (inside or outside), the Blue Stag Saloon is the perfect place to warm after a big day on the mountain.

Ollie’s Pub and Grub / 401 South Main Street

Whether you are in town for a couple days or have lived in Summit County your entire life you’ll feel welcome and comfortable every time you visit the pub and grub. The staff at Ollie’s consider customers friends and family and treat them accordingly. This locals’ favorite watering hole boasts a great menu, extensive beer selection, and 16 HD TV’s to fulfill your sporting needs. And with a kitchen that stays open until midnight, you’ll stayed fueled for the bar’s lively late night scene.

Burke and Reilly’s Irish Pub / 520 South Main Street

Located on the top floor of the La Cima Mall, Burek & Riley’s has some of the best views in Breckenridge.  Take in the entire Tenmile range from their large deck while keeping warm next to the fire pit. Irish draft beers are available, as well as a huge list of specialty cocktails and martinis. Have the munchies?  They serve their menu late!

Cecelia’s Apres Ski Night Club / 520 South Main Street

Got the itch to dance? Step inside Cecelia’s, they’ve got the largest dance floor in Breckenridge! With three unique bar areas and a walk-in humidor, Cecilia’s captures just the right balance between intimacy and excitement. The largest room is the dance bar at Cecilia’s, where Cecilia’s late night, rowdy-fun, reputation was fostered. It is also home to Breckenridge’s largest dance floor and the infamous dance pole. With DJ’s nightly, you’re sure to get your swerve on. You may even get a glimpse of owner Jeff Cox, spinning his favorite beats!

A lively local hangout with great specials every day of the week. Here’s a sneak peak at what you can get…with Ladies Night on Mondays, Wu-tang/Whiskey Wednesdays, Thirsty free keg Thursdays, and don’t forget Midnight Mass on Sundays there’s something for everyone. Show your appreciation for your bartenders and hear the mighty sound of the gong located above the circular bar. Liquid Lounge also features DJ’s every night rocking their jams.
