Love is in the air in Breckenridge and while it may be a bit chilly around town, let me assure you there are many great ways to show the special ones in your life that you care about them this Valentine’s Day in Breckenridge. When I was growing up, Valentine’s Day meant much more than spending the day with your sweetheart, it was a day to show appreciation, love and gratitude for all of those in your life that were special.
Valentine’s Day in Breckenridge:
The perfect way to kick off Valentine’s Day in Breckenridge is by enjoying a Parent’s Night Out courtesy of Father Dyer Church. This fun evening for kiddos between the ages of 1 and 11 is from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm (drop off is between 5:30 and 6:00 pm). Cost is $20 per child or $30 for two children and the proceeds benefit the Children’s Ministries of Father Dyer Church. There will be games, activities, cookie decorating, bouncy house, balloons, crafts, pizza & drinks & much more! Get your kiddos RSVP’d with Maria Spotts ASAP by sending their names and ages to [email protected] Spaces will fill up fast. Maria is also looking for wonderful volunteer helpers to assist with this event. If you plan on volunteering your kids can join free!
Tours Through the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance
Up for taking a trip back through time? The Breckenridge Heritage Alliance is offering their special Historic Walking Tour and Victorian Tea with “Katie Briggle” on Saturday, February 15th from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Bring the family for a fun living history tour through Breckenridge’s’ nationally recognized Historic District with leading lady & local expert- Katie Briggle. This exciting tour will take you back to the turn of the century where you will learn about what life was like in mining town. At the end of the tour, Katie will serve tea and homemade treats at her Victorian home. Cost is $15 for Adults and $10 for Children (ages 4-12). Reservations are required and can be made at the Welcome Center or by calling the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance’s reservation line at 970-453-9767 x2.
Express Your Creative Side
Let your creativity express your love by joining Ready, Paint, Fire for their adults Canvas Party on Valentine’s Day evening in their Breckenridge studio for “Footsie” and also on Saturday the 15th night for “Flowering Hearts”. Bring a date or a bestie and join in on the fun! Located at 323 North Main Street. Call (970) 453-5765 for details.
Children will enjoy the Kid’s Art & Crafts time at Art Supply Breckenridge on Sunday, February 16th from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Stay or drop off the kiddos as they enjoy ceramic painting and fuse beads. A short lesson on mixing colors and patterns is available when working on fuse beads designs. A small snack will be provided. Cost is $15. Located at 201 S. Ridge Street. Call (970) 423-6945 to reserve your spot.
Get a Makeover
Whether it be a Mother and Daughter date or a great way to show the special lady in your life how much you care, Chantilly’s Makeup and Brow Bar offers a unique experience sure to brighten up any gal’s day.
