October is a great time to take in the last of autumn’s golden aspen leaves as well as snowy mountain tops!  If you plan on taking in the views while on a hike, you’re in luck!  There are hundreds of miles of trails in and near Breckenridge, so whether you’ve done your fair share of hiking or you’re new to the activity, you’re sure to find a  trail that will meet your needs.  Trail accessibility will vary depending on weather and snowfall so be sure to check-out trail conditions before you go.  Wondering where to hike? It’s no secret, fall rides are some of our favorite rides!  The cooler weather means you won’t heat up going uphill, the number of people on the trails decreases and the views are hard to beat.  Not into mountain biking? You can pedal around town or take a tour of the county on our bike path. If you are looking for a bike ride with a twist, try out the distillery and spirits bike tour  or sample a few brews on a fat bike brewery tour.

 3. Give Casting a Shot

There is great fly fishing available year-round in Breckenridge but the trick is knowing where to go!  Sign-up for a full or half-day guided tour to get geared up, transported and taught the secrets to casting and catching by a local expert.  Guided tours are available for those who are new to the sport, new to the area or those who are just looking for a good time!

4. Get Into The Halloween Spirit
