6:00 p.m. - Torchlight Parade
A long-standing tradition, Breckenridge Ski & Snowboard School carries torches from the top of Peak 9 down American to the Village in the New Year’s Eve torchlight parade. Après drinks at the Maggie is a great way to catch the perfect view of skiers and riders illuminating the mountain. 6:00pm.

WMD Presents is a series of concerts, music events, and conferences as general fundraising support for World Music Development to advance our mission of creating global peace through music. At each event a local nonprofit is selected as a beneficiary to receive 10% of the gross proceeds from all ticket sales. For this engagement we have the honor of partnering with Building Hope, a multi-faceted community initiative creating solutions to a wide array of challenges in Summit County’s mental health care system.

9:00 p.m. - New Year’s Eve Fireworks

First and foremost: don’t drink and drive! While Uber and Lyft have recently debuted in Breckenridge and the surrounding area, prices can surge, especially on NYE, so locals know that the county’s free buses can be the most reliable source of New Year’s Eve transportation. The Breckenridge Free Ride offers service within the Breckenridge area, and even has special late-night service (until 2:15 a.m.) on New Year’s Eve. Get the app to track your bus in real-time! For those of you heading over from another part of Summit County, the Summit Stage offers free service to/from Breckenridge, Frisco, Silverthorne, Dillon, Summit Cove and Keystone, and typically continues its normal schedule for NYE.
Still want to take the car into town? Breck Park offers overnight parking for guests and residents at the Satellite Parking Lot on Airport Rd. – just connect to downtown Breck on the Free Ride Yellow Route. Cost is $5 per 24 hours Monday to Thursday and $10 per 24 hours for Friday to Sunday.

Romantic dinners: From Relish, Aurum and Blue River Bistro to classics such as Briar Rose and Hearthstone, Breckenridge offers a variety of great meal options on New Year’s Eve. For ideas, see the list of holiday dinners. Remember, it’s never too early to make reservations for this popular night on the town.
Take a jaunt in the woods: Hit the outdoors by night with a group of friends snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. If getting your heart rate up sounds like the best bet to ring in the New Year, head up to Boreas Pass road. Taking a brisk walk or ski on the very wide and largely empty snowy road with a flask of something strong and warm is bound to be one of your more memorable year kickoffs.
Take a yoga class: Yearly intention-setting is a powerful practice to help align our lives with the direction of our dreams. This special 2-hour class will weave intention-setting rituals, a vinyasa flow and a special candlelight meditation so we can move into 2019 with clarity and purpose. We’ll invite positivity and direction into our lives by letting go of what’s no longer serving us. We’ll wring out any negativity we accumulated in 2018 and create space in our bodies, hearts and minds to open to our greatest potentials.
Dec. 30 2018, 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Meta Yoga Studios. $30 – Pre-registration Encouraged
