On The Snow

One of the most popular ski resorts in North America is located in our backyard, but skiing and snowboarding are just the tip of the iceberg of good times to be had when the snow coats Breckenridge. With an average of 25 feet of snow each year, Breckenridge offers endless winter activities for a variety of snowy fun.

Breckenridge Ski Resort

With five huge peaks spanning 2,908 acres, four terrain parks, one superpipe, eight bowls, the highest chairlift in North America, family-friendly terrain and a world-class ski school, all situated above an authentic, hip mountain town with awe-inspiring views, it’s no surprise that “Breck” is one of the most popular ski resorts in the Western Hemisphere.

Nordic and Snowshoeing

Breckenridge boasts more than 50 kilometers (30 miles) of perfectly manicured cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails at the town’s two Nordic centers. If exploring historic mining ruins is more your style, the expansive trail system surrounding Breckenridge offers bountiful miles to explore.

The age-old tradition of sledding is alive and FREE at Carter Park in Breckenridge. Grab the toboggan, saucer, inflatable sled or your sliding method of choice and get ready to see a child-like grin on the entire family.

Winter Biking

Yes, those crazy biking enthusiasts are riding year-round in Breck. Winter biking options are endless, from soaking in the panoramic views while road biking to taking advantage of some of the best mountain bike terrain in the country on a specialized Fat Bike, made for traction in the snow.
