Fly Fishing

The Colorado Rockies contain some of the best fishing waters in North America. The town of Breckenridge and adjacent mountains are no different. Blue Ribbon waters are abundant around Breckenridge. The clear waters of the Blue River contain healthy Rainbow Trout, fat Browns and an occasional native Cutthroat. Fly-fishing is popular activity in Breckenridge even in the winter. The rivers flow ice free all year and you can even take a guided tour. Casting your fly while taking in views of the Ten Mile Range is a wonderful way to spend a winter-s day. Guided trips are available all year.

Mountain Angler

Putting people and trout together since 1985, Mountain Angler is Summit County-s oldest and most respected fly shop and guide service offering year round guided tours. Additionally, our shop offers fine gear from names like Patagonia, Columbia Sportswear, Sportiff, Simms and many more.
