Summer Music

The National Repertory Orchestra and the Breckenridge Music Institute Orchestra offer nearly 40 classical and non-classical concerts throughout the summer at the Riverwalk Center. The Riverwalk also hosts regular children's concerts and more.

Imagination Express

This entertaining educational children's series takes place weekly during the summer from late June to late August. From magic to music, juggling to dance, each show provides fun for kids at the Riverwalk Center.

Breckenridge Festival of Film

In its 30th year, the Breckenridge Festival of Film celebrates the art and craft of filmmaking. Each year in June, a unique and varied array of independent films, premieres, receptions, educational programs and retrospectives honoring featured guests takes place high in the Colorado Rockies.

Backstage Theatre

Enjoy this, award-winning Breckenridge tradition, with productions such as "Sass", "Easy Living" and "Guys on Ice."

Art

Arts District of Breckenridge

Located in the heart of Breckenridge, the Arts District is developing into a pedestrian friendly arts campus featuring several resident artist facilities and indoor and outdoor spaces for workshops and cultural events. The Tin Shop is the first resident artist facility and features visiting artists from around the world who have open studio hours and offer special workshops, demonstrations, lectures and more. Ongoing workshops are also offered at the newly rehabilitated Fuqua Livery Stable and the historic Robert Whyte House for children, teens and adults in a variety of mediums including drawing, painting, textiles, ceramics and creative writing to name a few. The Quandary Antiques facility has transformed into a ceramics studio.

Galleries

From fine art to great prints, posters to photos, Breckenridge's dozen galleries provide an experience in visual and tactile wonders. Some specialize in Southwestern or Western themes, while others promote established and new artists, many of them local. Art Shows In the summer, Breckenridge's quaint mountain streets spill forth with art shows and artisans.
