Breckenridge CVB Expands with the Hire of Outside Sales Rep and Coordinator

Stacy Long, Angela Miller join sales team

BRECKENRIDGE, CO - Feb 23, 2011 – The Breckenridge Convention and Visitors’ Bureau (BCVB), the group sales division of the Breckenridge Resort Chamber (BRC), recently named Stacy Long outside sales representative and Angela Miller sales coordinator.

“These new positions are one of many positive changes thanks to the recent tax initiative,” said BRC president and CEO John McMahon. “The 1% tax allowed us to increase our sales force so that we can help drive shoulder season business.”

Long joins the BCVB after nearly six years as the national sales manager for Breckenridge Hospitality, where she finished both 2009 and 2010 as the top office producer in a highly competitive market. Prior, she served as national sales manager for Beaver Run Resort & Conference Center in Breckenridge, Colo. Long brings extensive experience in several sectors including the government, education and corporate markets. She has been an active member of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals since 1994 & the Colorado Society for Association Executives since 1995.

Miller served as a sales specialist for the Central Reservations division of the BRC for the past four years. As the top salesperson in three of those years, Miller gained an exceptional understanding of the town’s properties, amenities and activity offerings.

“With Stacy intensifying outreach to special interest groups and Colorado’s Front Range market, and Angela dedicating her time to building conference services and the weddings market, the BCVB can continue national-level sales and at the same time, focus on strategic development,” said BCVB sales director Donna Horii. “We are excited to grow the team, which is now better positioned than ever to promote Breckenridge and all it has to offer.”
