BRECKENRIDGE, CO - Apr 11, 2011 – AEG Live is thrilled to announce An Acoustic Evening with: LYLE LOVETT - JOHN HIATT at Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge, Thursday, June 16, 2011. Doors 7pm || Show 8pm

Two songwriting giants on stage together, enjoy an intimate acoustic evening with two of the all-time great American singer/songwriters, Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt. One of the most distinctive songwriters to come out of Nashville, four-time Grammy Award-winner Lyle Lovett is equally comfortable in pop, rock, blues and country. Eleven-time Grammy nominee John Hiatt melds rock, acoustic, folk, new wave and Mississippi Delta blues into songs recorded by some three dozen artists over the last three decades from Three Dog Night to Eric Clapton. The interplay and immense talent of Lovett and Hiatt up close and personal is an experience not to be missed. Hear their storytelling mastery not only in the songs they sing, but in the insightful tales they offer up between songs.

Lyle Lovett
One of the all-time great American singer/songwriters, Lovett is a multiple Grammy-Award winner known for his literate, multi-layered songs. Lovett has a unique talent for combing incisive, witty lyrical detail with an eclectic array of music, ranging from country and folk to big-band swing and traditional pop. Initially pegged as a country singer, Lovett’s career has expanded far beyond Nashville, attracting fans from a wide spectrum of musical genres, including rock and American roots. His long string of hit singles include “Cowboy Man,” “If I Had a Boat,” “Family Reserve,” and “Private Conversation.”

John Hiatt
Hiatt’s 30-year career includes a string of critically acclaimed albums, including the current release “Same Old Man.” As a major force in the American music scene, his songs have been covered by a diverse range of artists including Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton and B. B. King, Bonnie Raitt, Buddy Guy, Emmylou Harris, Iggy Pop, The Neville Brothers, Roseanne Cash, Steve Earle, Willie Nelson and the Jeff Healy Band. One of America’s most respected and influential singer songwriters, Hiatt received the 2008 Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriting from The Americana Music Association.
