Donations for Haiti being collected at the BRC’s Wednesday Mixer

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. – February 8, 2010 – The Breckenridge Resort Chamber (BRC) Ambassadors and the Gold Pan Saloon and Restaurant will collect donations for Haiti and God’s Littlest Angels Orphanage at the February mixer from 5 to 7 p.m. this Wednesday, February 10 at the Gold Pan in Breckenridge. All donated items given at the mixer will be brought to Colorado Springs on Thursday to make the Friday shipment to Haiti.

Supplies needed for the orphanage include: Powdered formula, diapers, baby cereal, infant Tylenol, infant and children’s vitamins, baby lotion, powder, baby shampoo and portable cribs.

Medical supplies needed include: Sutures, IV catheters, rubber gloves, antibiotics (all types), pain medications (all types), Xylocaine (for suturing), IV fluids (mainly 5% Dextrose) and basic blood pressure medications.

Supplies needed to assist the surrounding community include: Clothing, tents, tarps, flashlights, batteries, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, blankets, towels, plastic buckets, candles, canned meats, non-perishable food, sugar, oil and dry red beans.

God's Littlest Angels is a Haitian orphanage located in the mountains above Pétion-Ville. The majority of the children brought to the orphanage are between the ages of newborn and 7-years-old. God's Littlest Angels has ministered to the children of Haiti since 1994 and is involved in several children's ministries in the local community.
