Once you arrive in Breck, getting around is easy as most activities are within walking distance. Bikes are also a common means of transportation up here once the snow melts as the town is designated a Gold Level Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists.
A good portion of lodging properties are within close proximity to historic Main Street and the resort. Breck also boasts a free bus service which serves most of town. For those looking to venture outside ‘the Kingdom,’ the free Summit Stage transit system serves nearly all of the county, including service to Copper Mountain, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin during peak times of the year.

The Free Ride is proud to have some Diesel Electric Hybrid buses and other green vehicles in its fleet. The Town of Breckenridge is committed to making strides toward becoming a Green Community.
All Free Ride buses are handicapped-lift equipped for our visitors with disabilities. See the ADA information page for additional info.
Breckenridge Free Ride is pleased to bring its customers “Route Shout" — an interactive schedule application widget. The interactive schedule app is an intuitive product that will quickly provide schedule information for all active routes. The widget will bring you the next bus times and provide a countdown clock of how many minutes until the next two scheduled service times. This widget operates off a predictive schedule. For information in real-time, consult the "Where's My Bus" tracking system or the SMS Text Messaging — "Bus Times by Text."
All scheduled departure times listed for the stops are dependent upon traffic and weather conditions. Please arrive at your bus stop a couple of minutes early. The bus does not stop unless someone is present at the stop. Buses are also unable to wait for incomplete boarding parties.
At times the Free Ride may be running slightly behind. but it strives to achieve a high level of on-time performance as much as possible; however sometimes things are simply beyond its control.
