Holiday Dog Parade Information

Are you interested in participating in the Parade? If so, here’s some helpful information so you and your pup can be part of the fun:

December 2nd, 2017

3:00 p.m. — 3:45 p.m. – Gather in Main Street Station with the dogs before the Bernese Mountain Dog Parade. There will be light refreshments, free Santa dog costumes for people who would like to join in the parade (because even the X-Large is way too small to fit a Berner) and lots of fun photo opportunities!

3:45 p.m.  4:00 p.m. - Judging of the "Best in Dress" costumer competition will be complete and winners announced before the parade begins. All the furry four-legged elves, santas, and holiday helpers have a chance to win prizes from our sponsors!

4:00 p.m. — 4:20 p.m. – The Bernese Mountain Dog Parade will march down Main Street from Main St. Station to the Blue River Plaza. Anyone is welcome to join with their pet, as long as all dogs are in the holiday spirit and friendly with others. No Scrooges, please!

4:30 p.m.  Everyone from the parade will gather near the bottom of Washington Avenue in a special sectioned-off area to watch the Race of the Santas come down Main Street and gather together in the Blue River Plaza for more fun. Many people will surely want to take pictures with the dogs (and you too!) so everyone is welcome to stay until the lighting of the town tree at 5:00 p.m.
