Hut Trips

Hut trips are an extremely popular year-round venture. Scattered across the Rocky Mountains, there are 29 backcountry huts connected by 350 miles of terrain. Huts range from cozy cabins located just a few miles from a trailhead, complete with saunas (yes, relaxing, steam-filled saunas), to backcountry shelters that are far removed from any other signs of civilization. We are lucky to have multiple huts in Breck’s backyard.

If you’re looking for the ultimate backcountry experience, summer hut trips provide a unique opportunity for unplugging and enjoying the most genuine group bonding time that only the internet-less wilderness can provide. Come prepared with your ‘been meaning to read this’ book and board game of choice – you won’t regret it.  Check out the most frequently asked questions about hut trips for more information.

Summit Huts are booked through the 10th Mountain Division. Visit www.huts.org or call (970) 925-5775 for more information or to book your hut trip.
