Getting To & Around Breckenridge
Parking And Transportation
Where can I park?
Breckenridge’s downtown parking lots are paid and traditionally fill up fast. The most convenient parking will be in the South Gondola Parking Structure at 150 Watson Avenue. Guests can also park for free on Airport Rd. and take the Gray Route bus into downtown. Guests should plan to arrive early and park in the same spot for the day.
How do I get around?
While we recommend going carless in Breckenridge, if you do need to rent or drive your car, make sure you visit GoI70.com to learn the best times to travel to avoid congestion. We expect this to be a very busy weekend and encourage viewers to carpool, rideshare and use shuttles/buses if they are visiting from Denver. The Breck FreeRide bus picks up and drops off throughout Breckenridge, and the Summit Stage bus connects Breckenridge and its surrounding towns. Once you are here, we recommend exploring by foot or taking the Breckenridge FreeRide transportation throughout the day.
What if I ended up drinking, but didn’t plan on it?
If you’re planning on drinking at Breckenridge Oktoberfest, please do not drive. Provided you’re parked legally, it’s OK to remain parked on town streets on the Friday and Saturday nights of Breckenridge Oktoberfest. All vehicles parked overnight must be moved before the following day’s parking enforcement begins. Please make note that Breckenridge now has paid parking throughout town and is implemented from 8:00am through 8:00pm daily.
Is there a place for my bike?
Bike parking (bring your own lock) will be available at the Sons of Norway park, just south of Blue River Plaza, across the river from the Riverwalk Center lawn.
